REGION — The California Surf Festival will be showing three epic surf films at three locations in San Diego County this spring and summer.
For 20 years patrons of the Seaside Bazaar in Encinitas enjoyed local legend Steve White’s performances of his distinctive music. On March 16 — which would have marked White’s 64th birthday — his life will be celebrated with the first annual Steve White Music and Art Festival.
ENCINITAS — True to poetry slam tradition, the Full Moon Poets Winter Poetry Slam began with 17 poets and five judges picked at random from the audience.
There are many cultural events to look forward to in North County during the upcoming year, but none are more anticipated than the slice of Italian culture brought by the San Diego Italian Film Festival to the La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas.

A project of passion six years in the making, co-directors Mike Bernard and Gavin Froome began showing their film in the summer of last year to great acclaim.
