Woman fends off attacker in apartment elevator

SOLANA BEACH — Cbs8.com reports that Sheriff’s investigators are looking for a man who attacked a woman in a Solana Beach apartment complex.
The suspect allegedly grabbed the woman in an elevator and held a knife to her neck at the Ocean Crest Apartments, 877 Stevens Ave. at 12:06 a.m. Oct. 21.
The suspect threatened to kill the woman if she made noise, but she screamed and fought him off, escaping with only minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic man, 16 to 19 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a normal build and wearing dark clothing.
