Weekly Crime Reports: Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach

EDITOR’S NOTE: Sheriff’s Dept. North Coastal Station’s incident reports from Nov. 15 to Nov. 22. All arrestees within these reports are presumed innocent.

Falah Ferman, 31, was arrested at 12:29 p.m. on Nov. 15 at Basilone Road, San Clemente, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a felony bench warrant and vehicle theft. The female victim, 29, reported stolen a white utility vehicle valued at $4,000, which was recovered later.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony vehicle theft at 6:48 a.m. on Nov. 15 at Village Run E, Encinitas. The male victim, 56, reported stolen an aluminum four-door car valued at $3,500.

Veronica Miranda, 62, was cited and released for misdemeanor an active warrant at 9:25 a.m. on Nov. 15 at West Valley Parkway, Escondido.

Christopher Gaito, 62, was cited and released for misdemeanor an active warrant at 9:10 a.m. on Nov. 16 at West Valley Parkway, Escondido.

Vincent Facciuto, 38, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia at 11:16 a.m. on Nov. 16 at West Valley Parkway, Escondido.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft at 11:10 a.m. on Nov. 17 at South Coast Highway, Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen a white iPad ($300).

Derek Wien, 41, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia at 4 a.m. on Nov. 17 at De La Valle, Del Mar.

Patrick Dana, 58, was arrested at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17 at South Coast Highway, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a felony bench warrant.

Eric Newton, 30, was arrested at 10:14 a.m. on Nov. 17 at 78 freeway, Vista, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a felony violation of parole.

Troy Willhite, 49, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 17 at State St., Carlsbad, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a felony agency’s warrant.

Jeanne Tajalle, 57, was cited and released for misdemeanor an active warrant at 8:52 a.m. on Nov. 18 at West Valley Parkway, Escondido.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for found property at 9:39 a.m. on Nov. 18 at West C St., Encinitas. The police officer found two six Apple products, a black Samsung, cash ($5), two miscellaneous items and a credit card.

Robert Villamil, 47, was cited and released for misdemeanor an active warrant at 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Devonshire Drive, Encinitas.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony fraud at 4:40 p.m. on Nov. 18 at South Sierra Ave., Solana Beach. The female victim, 51, reported stolen intangible personal identifying information valued at $516.

Christopher Johnson, 45, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and substances at 10:23 a.m. on Nov. 18 at West Valley Parkway, Escondido.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 10:21 a.m. on Nov. 18 at Cambridge Ave., Cardiff by the Sea. The male victim, 65, reported stolen a black E-Lux Tahoe GT bicycle valued at $3,200.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a found property at 10:36 a.m. on Nov. 18 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The police officer found a black Erma-Werke EGP65 pistol, a North American Derringer pistol, a Sheridan Silver Streak air gun, a magazine, miscellaneous ammunition, firearm parts, and items.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, residential, at 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Camino Del Rancho, Encinitas. The male victim, 31, and the female victim, 62, reported stolen a black Liberty safe ($800), a black 80% rifle ($1,500), a green UNK rifle ($1,500), coins ($15,000), cash ($200), miscellaneous jewelries ($1,000), firearm parts ($1,000) and ammunition ($200).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, a vehicle at 5:29 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Stratford Court, Del Mar. The female victim, 41, reported a stolen yellow backpack ($40).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony vehicle theft at 5:08 a.m. on Nov. 19 at South Nardo Ave., Solana Beach. The female victim, 33, reported stolen a black four-door automobile valued at $5,000.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 7:56 a.m. on Nov. 19 at South Nardo Ave, Solana Beach. The male victim, 20, reported stolen Toyota automotive parts ($2,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony embezzlement at 9:50 a.m. on Nov. 19 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim, a company, reported stolen cash valued at $516,375

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 11:43 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Sonrisa St., Solana Beach. The male victim, 43, reported stolen Toyota automotive parts valued at $2,000.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, commercial at 11:51 a.m. on Nov. 19 at San Elijo Ave., Encinitas. The male victim, 60, reported stolen a Sector 9 Longboard skateboard ($199), a MSI GS60 laptop ($1,762) and eight iMacs ($19,515).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft, an animal at 6:51 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Glasgow Ave., Encinitas. The male victim, 36, reported stolen domestic pets ($2,500).

Lila Sandoval, 57, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance at 10:21 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Harbor Drive, Oceanside.

Makenzy Sewell, 18, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 20 at Via Ascenso, Rancho Santa Fe, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Two female victims, 21, reported severe laceration, and another victim, 22, reported another major injury.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, a vehicle at 2:29 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Santa Fe Drive., Encinitas. The female victim, 39, reported stolen three credit cards, a gray backpack ($40), a wallet ($60), cash ($60), a pair of sunglasses ($80), three ID cards/documents ($245) and a pair of eyeglasses ($400).

Ailbe Mcgarry, 46, was arrested at 8:17 p.m. on Nov. 20 at North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor being drunk in public.

Tiffany Liberto, 23, and John Hawkins, 36, were arrested at 10 p.m. on Nov. 20 at Orpheus Ave., Encinitas, and booked at San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor being drunk in public and a bench warrant.

Miguel Perez, 30, was cited and released for a simple battery at 11:18 p.m. on Nov. 20 at East D St., Encinitas. The two male victims, 51, and 36, reported an apparent minor injury.

Luis Calderon, 32, was arrested at 3:52 a.m. on Nov. 21 at Vista Rancho Court, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor battery of spouse and violating domestic relations court order.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 7:42 p.m. on Nov. 21 at West Solana Court, Solana Beach. The female victim, 50, reported stolen automotive parts valued at $4,000.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony extortion at 9:31 p.m. on Nov. 21 at North Camino Real, Encinitas. The male victim, 26, reported stolen cash ($600).
