VISTA — A man in his 60s was killed after being struck by a car while crossing the street at East Vista Way and Townsite Drive in Vista on Wednesday, law enforcement reported.
The male pedestrian was walking across the street in a crosswalk around 5:13 p.m. when he was struck by a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a woman in her 30s. He succumbed to his injuries despite lifesaving efforts.
The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative in the investigation.
Vista Station’s Traffic Division is handling the investigation, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor for either party at this time, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
