SAN MARCOS — San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate the unknown suspect wanted in connection with the theft of an English bulldog in San Marcos. It happened at Dogtopia in the 900 block of W. San Marcos Boulevard on March 19 around 7:30 p.m.
The English bulldog, named Schroeder, wandered away from home Wednesday evening. A man found the 5-month-old puppy on the street and took him to a nearby doggie day care, Dogtopia; 45 minutes later, another man walked into Dogtopia claiming to be the owner. The man then walked out with Schroeder.
The owners paid $4,000 for the English bulldog.
