Weekly Crime Reports: Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar

Weekly crime reports from the Sheriff’s Dept. North Coastal Station for April 4 to April 11 for the cities of Encinitas, Del Mar and Solana Beach. All arrestees within these crime reports are presumed innocent.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 9:33 a.m. on April 4 at La Mirada Ave., Encinitas. The male victim, 95, reported stolen checks and cash ($7,913). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 12:29 p.m. on April 4 at Valley Ave., Solana Beach. The male victim, 47, reported stolen automotive parts ($1,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony petty theft at 8:25 p.m. on April 4 South Highway 101, Solana Beach. The victim, a store, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($100). 

Victor Perez, 52, was arrested at 7:55 p.m. on April 4 at Linda Mar Drive, Solana Beach, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony petty theft at 4:13 p.m. on April 4 at Camino Del Mar, Solana Beach. The female victim, 54, and the male victim, 74, reported stolen four credit cards. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 10:28 a.m. on April 4 at South Cedros Ave., Solana Beach. The female victim, 45, reported stolen an iPhone 11 Pro ($12,100). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 12:15 p.m. on April 4 at Hernandez St., Solana Beach. The female victim, 52, reported stolen automotive parts ($3,000). 

Andrea Garza, 38, was arrested at 11:11 a.m. on April 5 at South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony petty theft at 10:58 a.m. on April 5 at Camino Del Mar, Del Mar. The female victim, 21, reported stolen two credit cards, a bag ($5), miscellaneous jewelry ($70),  two ID cards ($76), a wallet ($90),  miscellaneous items ($100), cash ($100), a purse ($120), and cosmetics ($200). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony vandalism at 6:52 a.m. on April 5 at Bonita Drive, Encinitas. The female victim, 53, reported damaged an automobile ($600).

Justin Buseth, 32, was cited and released for a misdemeanor of being drunk in public at 7:52 p.m. on April 5 at Encinitas Blvd., Encinitas.

Ruben Reyes, 37, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. on April 5 at Stevens Ave., Solana Beach, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public.

Steven Luna, 33, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. on April 5 at West Leucadia Blvd., Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony petty theft at 4:45 p.m. on April 5 at Kings Cross Drive, Encinitas. The female victim, 79, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($1,950). 

Kyle Campana, 33, was arrested at 4:39 p.m. on April 5 at West Leucadia Blvd., Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a felony under another agency’s warrant.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor battery at 1:38 p.m. on April 6 at South Cedros Ave., Solana Beach. The male victim, 52, reported no injury. 

William Holcomb, 74, was arrested at 7:55 p.m. on April 6 at Sabinas Court, Solana Beach, and booked at San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public. 

Ronald Orozco, 32, Antony Cifuentes, 25, were arrested at 1 a.m. on April 6 at Village Park, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructed peace officer. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft at 3:47 p.m. on April 6 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The male victim, a hospital, reported stolen a license plate ($25).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a found property at 11:43 a.m. on April 6 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The officer found a taser, ammunition, and miscellanies items. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony embezzlement at 2:59 p.m. on April 6 at 9th St., Del Mar. The victim, a store, reported stolen checks.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft, shoplifting at 1:31 p.m. on April 6 at Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen an iPhone 11 ($499). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 12:28 p.m. on April 6 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($240). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft at 12:25 p.m. on April 6 at Avenida De Acacias, Rancho Santa Fe. The victim, a store, reported stolen miscellaneous furniture ($150). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony fraud at 3:34 p.m. on April 6 at South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The female victim, 52, reported stolen three credit cards. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 3:04 p.m. on April 6 at Hermes Ave., Encinitas. The male victim, 65, reported stolen an automobile ($20,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, residential at 8 p.m. on April 6 at Summit Place, Encinitas. The female victim, 43, reported stolen garden tools ($142), a hat ($170), two pairs of ski boots ($268), a jacket ($343), miscellaneous items ($700), and miscellaneous clothing ($1,742). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 11:51 a.m. on April 6 at Encinitas Blvd., Encinitas. The female victim, 30, reported stolen an automobile ($18,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor vandalism at 2:29 p.m. on April 6 at Highland Drive, Solana Beach. The female victim, 40, reported a damaged automobile ($400). 

Kevin Kerchenfaut, 38, and Rabecka Mckee, were cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances paraphernalia at 3 a.m. on April 7 at Birmingham, Cardiff by the Sea. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft at 8:06 p.m. on April 7 at 2nd St., Encinitas. The male victim, 22, reported stolen a license plate ($25). 92

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 3:33 p.m. on April 7 at Encinitas Blvd., Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($1,537).

Branden Rinker, 44, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of narcotic controlled substances at 7:41 a.m. on April 7 at Glasgow Ave., Encinitas. 

Roy Hinkley, 39, and Hayley Pinto, 42, were cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances at 9:45 a.m. on April 7 at Willits Road, Alpine. 

Felipe Sauvalle, 18, was arrested at 1:12 p.m. on April 7 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas, and booked at San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of felony embezzlement. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft at 3:41 p.m. on April 7 at West D St., Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen a hat ($20). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony fraud at 3:02 p.m. on April 7 at Pleasant Grove Road, Encinitas. The female victim, 80, reported stolen two credit cards and an ID card ($25). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 3:41 p.m. on April 7 at Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach. The female victim, 81, reported stolen two credit cards, a wallet ($20), an ID card ($25), cash ($53), and an iPhone ($1,100). 

Luis Garcia Mora, 56, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. on April 8 at Neptune Ave., Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 9:07 a.m. on April 8 at South Rios Ave., Solana Beach. The female victim, 30, reported stolen automotive parts ($4,300). 

Aleah Simmons, 27, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. on April 8 at North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor on another agency’s warrant.

Sean Conners, 25, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. on April 8 at Leucadia Blvd., Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 1:13 a.m. on April 8 at North Vulcan Ave., Encinitas. The male victim, 31, reported stolen a FE501S motorcycle ($13,000). 

Thomas Ward, 43, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances paraphernalia, possession of narcotic controlled substances, possession of controlled substances at 3:22 a.m. on April 8 at Villa Cardiff Drive, Cardiff by the Sea. 

Joshua Stevenson, 37, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances paraphernalia and possession of narcotic controlled substances at 3:42 p.m. on April 8 at Leucadia Blvd., Encinitas. 

Geovany Tello, 30, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. on Apr 9 at Cantebria, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. 

James Norris, 69, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances at 7:15 p.m. on April 9 at Santa Fe Drive, Cardiff by the Sea.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, a vehicle at 9:46 a.m. on April 9 at Passiflora Ave., Encinitas. The male victim, 23, reported stolen a wallet ($70). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, residential at 8:46 p.m. on April 9 at Encinitas Blvd., Encinitas. The female victim, 27, the male victim, 27, reported stolen two pairs of sunglasses ($200), miscellaneous Amazon computer equipment ($200), two bags ($450), keys ($300), cash ($300), cosmetics ($700), a Gucci purse ($1,200), a Dell computer ($1,500), miscellaneous clothing ($3,200), and miscellaneous Apple equipment ($3,400). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 9:21 a.m. on April 9 at West Glaucus St., Encinitas. The female victim, 52, reported stolen an automobile ($5,000) and a purse ($50). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony grand theft at 7:37 p.m. on April 9 at Villa Cardiff Drive, Encinitas. The female victim, 69, reported stolen automotive parts ($3,000).  

Stephanie Nieciecki, 30, and Breeann Rogers, 38, were cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances paraphernalia at 11:30 a.m. on April 9 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft at 2:35 p.m. on April 9 at South El Camino Real, Encinitas. The female victim, 30, reported stolen a license plate ($25). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, a vehicle at 3:28 p.m. on April 9 at South Sierra Ave., Solana Beach. The female victim, 28, and the male victim, 28, reported stolen two credit cards, a backpack ($20), an ID card ($25), a passport ($50), a wallet ($50), and miscellaneous Apple audio products ($200). 

Richard Vanevery, 54, was arrested at 8:39 a.m. on April 8 at Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, commercial at 10:16 a.m. on April 9 at South Willowspring Drive, Encinitas. The victim, 71, reported stolen six garden tools valued at $5,450. 

Matthew Labourdette, 30, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. on April 9 at Leucadia Blvd., Encinitas, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of a misdemeanor of being drunk in public.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 9:13 a.m. on April 10 at Aberdeen Drive, Cardiff by the Sea. The male victim, 27, reported stolen a four-door automobile ($45,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 12:11 a.m. on April 10 at South Highway 101, Solana Beach. The victim, a store, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($800). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for misdemeanor petty theft, and shoplifting at 9:35 a.m. on April 10 at North highway 101, Solana Beach. The victim, a store, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($3).

Eduardo Rodriguez, 49, was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of controlled substances at 10:30 a.m. on April 10 at La Mirada Ave., Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, commercial at 11:12 a.m. on April 10 at South Cedros Ave., Solana Beach. The victim, a store, reported stolen a cash register ($100) and cash ($300). 

Lisa Hohnbaum, 41, was cited and released for simple misdemeanor battery at 1:17 a.m. on Apr 10 at Diana St., Encinitas. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for felony burglary, a vehicle at 3:11 a.m. on April 11 at De La Valle, Solana Beach. The male victim, 34, reported stolen miscellaneous tools ($1,500). 

Jeanu Azemi, 25, was arrested at 4:40 a.m. on April 11 at Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, and booked at Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of misdemeanor on another agency’s warrant.
