Weekly Crime Reports: Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach

The Sheriff’s Dept. North Coastal Station’s crime reports from April 15-21 for the cities of Encinitas, Del Mar, and Solana Beach. All arrestees in these reports are presumed innocent. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for armed robbery at 2:17 a.m. on April 15 at the Days Inn, 100 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. The male victim reported stolen currency ($500) and an apparent minor injury. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 9:37 a.m. on April 15 at 600 North Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen intangible personal identifying information ($1,032).

Beltran, 38, was arrested at 9:03 a.m. on April 16 at the Escondido Transit Center, 700 West Valley Parkway, Escondido, for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia. 

Colon, 43, was cited and released on an active warrant at 9:17 a.m. on April 16 at 4100 College Blvd, Oceanside.

Holmes, 34, was cited and released on an active warrant at 7:27 p.m. on April 16 at West E Street, Encinitas.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for battery at 7:47 p.m. on April 16 at 100 Aberdeen Drive, Cardiff by the Sea. The victim reported an apparent minor injury. 

Mendoza, 22, and Rocha, 18, were arrested at 9:16 p.m. on April 16 at Lomas Santa Fe Drive and South Cedros Avenue, Solana Beach, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct/intoxicated with drugs and alcohol. 

Niederberger-Juarez, 26, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. on April 16 at 700 La Costa Avenue, Encinitas and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for felony possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, etc. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 8:36 a.m. on April 17 at 1100 Garden View Road, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen dark green motorcycle/scooter ($11,500). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 8:55 a.m. on April 15 for fraud at 900 Hygeia Avenue, Encinitas,  The victim reported stolen intangible personal identifying information ($19,811).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 8:56 a.m. on April 17 at 900 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen black Celine Monochroms 03 sunglasses ($400) and another pair of stolen sunglasses ($150). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 9:15 a.m. on April 17 at 900 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen maroon/burgundy vehicle ($40,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 10:52 a.m. on April 17 at 4600 Rancho Reposo, Del Mar. The victim reported stolen intangible personal identifying information ($2,185).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 12:09 p.m. on April 17 at 1900 Country Grove Lane, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen credit card.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle vandalism at 1:17 p.m. on April 17 at 300 Solana Hills Drive, Solana Beach. The victim reported a damaged white four-door sedan and stolen miscellaneous goods.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for shoplifting at 3:28 p.m. on April 17 at the Burlington Coat Factory, 200 North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen miscellaneous clothing ($900) and stolen cosmetics ($100). 

Alvarado, 41, was arrested for felony spousal/cohabitant abuse with minor injury and a misdemeanor bench warrant at 7:56 p.m. on April 17 at 1400 Orpheus Avenue, Encinitas. The suspect was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for an accident (non-injury) at 8:03 p.m. on April 17 at Southbound Interstate 5 and Las Pulgas Road, Oceanside.

Noel, 35, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on April 18 at Swami’s, 1300 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor battery on a peace officer/emergency personnel, etc., and disorderly conduct (alcohol). 

Smith, 41, was arrested on April 18 at 2:21 p.m. at 7-Eleven, 100 West D Street, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct/intoxicated with drugs and alcohol. 

Gervasi, 29, was cited and released at 7:57 p.m. on April 18 at Encinitas Blvd and Via Cantebria, Encinitas, for misdemeanor obstruct/resist peace officer/emergency medical technician, signal lights/circular red, and failure to provide written promise at arrest. 

Saulpaw, 51, was arrested at 8:07 p.m. on April 18 at 400 Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas, for misdemeanor possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. 

Schwarz, 35, was cited and released on an active warrant at 8:36 a.m. on April 19 at the Oceanside Sprinter Station, 1300 South Tremont Street, Oceanside. 

Sherrard, 57, was cited and released on an active warrant at 9:01 a.m. on April 19 at 1700 South Coast Highway, Oceanside. 

Bennett, 41, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. on April 19 at 5000 Avenida Encinas, Carlsbad, for a felony warrant from another agency. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for suspicious circumstances at 12:06 p.m. on April 19 at 2400 5th Avenue, San Diego.

Andrew-Sanders, 21, was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon at 1:57 p.m. on April 19 at Angelo’s Burgers, 600 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility. 

Lopez, 37, was cited and released on an active warrant at 3:06 p.m. on April 19 at 3800 Plaza Drive, Oceanside. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 1:45 p.m. on April 19 at 100 South Coast Highway 101, Solana Beach. The victim reported a stolen gray RadRunner 3-passenger bicycle ($2,455.83). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for shoplifting at 3:32 p.m. on April 19 at BevMo, 200 North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported stolen liquor ($732.75).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for found property at 10:38 a.m. on April 20 at Roberto’s, 1900 North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. A wallet, currency, and miscellaneous goods were all reported to be found. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 10:58 a.m. on April 20 at Mr. Peabody’s, 100 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen miscellaneous furniture ($750). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 12:18 p.m. on April 20 at Dog Beach, 3200 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar. The victim reported a stolen purse ($600), identification card/document, and ATM card.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a follow-up investigation at 1:52 p.m. on April 20 at 100 South Cedros Avenue, Solana Beach. The victim reported an apparent minor injury. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for shoplifting at 3:35 p.m. on April 20 at 1000 North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen miscellaneous clothing ($759.36).

Johnson, 60, was arrested for misdemeanor use/being under the influence of a controlled substance at 7:15 p.m. on April 20 at Oggi’s, 300 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Center. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 3:00 a.m. on April 21 at 1700 Hawk View Drive, Encinitas. The victims reported a stolen white four-door sedan ($15,000).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 4:05 p.m. on April 21 at Ace Hardware, 700 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen white van ($15,000).

Brown, 45, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. on April 21 at the Encinitas Transit Center, East D Street, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, use/under the influence of a controlled substance and probation violation (rearrest/revoke).
