VALLEY CENTER — San Diego County sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and child abuse.
On Nov. 5, around 4:30 p.m., an unknown suspect confronted two juveniles at a pond near the intersection of Valley Center Road and Irish Oaks Road in Valley Center, according to authorities. The suspect brandished a knife and chased the juveniles.
The man also destroyed a fishing pole and slashed four tires on a vehicle belonging to the victims. The total property damage is estimated at approximately $1,300.
During the incident, the suspect identified himself as “Hector Zeroni.”
The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, wearing a black shirt, tan pants, and brown work boots.
The Sheriff’s Office released three photographs of the suspect.
“Take a good look at these photos,” the department stated in a news release issued Jan. 8.
Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect is asked to contact the Valley Center Sheriff’s Substation at 760-751-4400. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
