COASTAL CITIES — The National Weather Service has issued a high-surf warning along west facing beaches through Saturday, with the possibility of minor coastal flooding in low lying areas during the morning high tides Friday and Saturday.
The large swell originated from the central North Pacific and will continue through Saturday afternoon.
Officials are warning of dangerous rip currents resulting in hazardous swimming conditions.
Inexperienced surfers and swimmers are asked to stay out of the water. Those entering should swim only where life guards are present.
