ESCONDIDO — Police are seeking information about the identity of a stabbing suspect after a brawl on Sunday, according to a press release.
At about 12:54 a.m., police responded to the 2800 block of Bear Valley Parkway for a large fight consisting of at least two dozen people, according to the Escondido Police Department. Multiple police units responded due to reports and callers indicated numerous people involved in the fight were armed with various weapons, although with no firearms.
During the fight, a 20-year-old male was stabbed at least once. The victim also suffered other injuries and was transported to the Palomar Medical Center. The injuries were considered life-threatening.
Dozens of people were seen leaving the area of the crime when police arrived, according to EPD. Police spoke with several witnesses, but believe a number of other individuals witnessed the crime and may have information.
