CARLSBAD — The Carlsbad Police Department’s narcotics unit, in collaboration with other specialized teams, recently arrested two North County cocaine suppliers in two unrelated operations, resulting in significant drug and weapon seizures.
On Sept. 25, officers with the department’s Vice Narcotics Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant in Oceanside, seizing $14,500 in cash, a ghost gun, a shotgun, 1.76 pounds of cocaine, mushrooms, Ecstasy and Adderall.
The suspect was arrested and faces multiple narcotics and weapons charges, officials said.
A second operation took place on Sept. 27, also in Oceanside, with officers confiscating 6 ounces of cocaine, 600 Ecstasy pills, an AK-47 pistol, two Glock handguns and $1,400 in cash. A suspect was arrested and similarly charged with narcotics and weapons offenses.
“These successful operations highlight the ongoing dedication and teamwork of our units in making our community safer and protecting our neighborhoods,” the department said in a statement.
The Coast News has requested additional information about the suspects and will update this story with the information as it becomes available.
