SAN MARCOS — An armed suspect in a string of Fallbrook burglaries has been arrested on Dec. 28 in San Marcos following a foot pursuit by deputies, authorities said.
Forest Estrada, 28, was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Monday in a mobile home park in the 500 block of Rancheros Drive, according to Lt. Mike Krugh of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
“When contacted by sheriff’s deputies Estrada, a known burglary suspect, ran and tried to hide inside a trailer in the mobile home park,” Krugh said. “He was arrested by deputies who recovered a 9 millimeter handgun and ammunition that was confirmed to have been stolen in a recent string of burglaries in Fallbrook.”
No further information was immediately available.
Krugh said an investigation into the Fallbrook burglaries was continuing.
