RANCHO SANTA FE – On Dec. 20, shortly after 3:00 p.m., deputies from the Encinitas Patrol Station responded to a reported home invasion robbery in the 5000 block of El Mirlo in Rancho Santa Fe.The investigation revealed two suspects gained entry into the home.The homeowners were not at the residence at the time of the robbery; however, the housekeeper was at the residence and was held at gunpoint as the suspects ransacked the home. After ransacking the home, the suspects secured the housekeeper so she could not call for law enforcement until she was found several hours later by a family member.
The housekeeper was not injured. The loss does include jewelry but the exact items and the amount of loss is still under investigation at this time.
The two suspects are described as white males, approximately 25 to 30 years of age. One suspect was described as tall, with long blond hair; the second suspect was described as being shorter and wearing a baseball cap.
The suspects may be driving a light metallic blue Kia or similar style vehicle.
