Weekly Crime Reports: Encinitas, Del Mar, Solana Beach

The Sheriff’s Dept. North Coastal Station’s crime reports from June 24-30 for the cities of Encinitas, Del Mar, and Solana Beach. All arrestees in these reports are presumed innocent. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for simple battery at 1:09 a.m. on June 24 at 900 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a follow-up investigation at 7:48 a.m. on June 24 at 3300 Lone Hill Lane, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen intangible personal identifying information ($20,833). 

Torres, 43, was arrested at 8:14 a.m. on June 24 at the Encinitas Transit Center, East D Street, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and use/under the influence of a controlled substance.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a vehicle burglary at 9:01 a.m. on June 24 at 100 Salina Cruz Court, Solana Beach. The victim reported a stolen Apple digital music device ($20) and paddle board ($250).

Torres, 33, was cited and released at 10:15 a.m. on June 24 at Marron Road and College Blvd, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for battery at 12:31 p.m. on June 24 at Swami’s, 1300 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The victim had no reported injuries. 

Villamil, 50, was cited and released at 12:52 p.m. on June 24 at 800 3rd Street, Encinitas, and misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 2:14 p.m. on June 24 at 1500 Lower Lake Court, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen currency ($9,095). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 2:59 p.m. on June 24 at Stater Bros, 1000 North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen black Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max ($1,400).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a suspicious circumstance at 4:42 p.m. on June 24 at 100 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 4:52 p.m. on June 24 at 1000 Solana Drive, Del Mar. The victim reported stolen gray Toyota Tacoma automotive parts ($23). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for shoplifting at 8:10 p.m. on June 24 at BevMo, 100 Solana Hills Drive, Solana Beach. The victim reported a stolen liquor case ($1,045.17).

Santiago, 35, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. on June 25 at 7-Eleven, 2200 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for disorderly conduct (intoxicated, drugs with alcohol). 

Borland, 40, was cited and released at 3:35 a.m. on June 25 at 1100 North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

Rocha, 18, was arrested at 9:16 a.m. on June 25 at Fletcher Cove Park, 100 South Sierra Avenue, Solana Beach, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor battery (spouse/ex-spouse/date/etc). 

Perez, 33, was cited and released at 10:17 a.m. on June 25 at 1900 Apple Street, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 10:37 a.m. on June 25 at 1400 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. The victim reported sixteen stolen miscellaneous items ($2,500).

Clayburn, 53, was cited and released at 10:39 a.m. on June 25 at 1700 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 11:07 a.m. on June 25 at 1600 Coast Blvd, Del Mar. The victim reported a stolen black Apple watch ($600).

Johnson, 45, was arrested at 11:39 a.m. on June 25 at the Encinitas Library, 500 Cornish Drive, Encinitas, and booked into San Diego Central Jail for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (intoxicated, drugs with alcohol). 

Work, 31, was cited and released at 12:06 p.m. on June 25 at the Oceanside Transit Center, 300 South Cleveland Street, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant.

McAfee, 28, was cited and released at 1:33 p.m. on June 25 at 4000 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant.

Cisneros, 36, was cited and released at 1:37 p.m. on June 25 at the Vista Transit Center, 100 Olive Avenue, Vista, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 2:49 p.m. on June 25 at 400 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen red Santa Cruz bicycle ($6,000).

Shulkin, 27, was cited and released at 4:13 a.m. on June 26 at 600 North Granados Avenue, Solana Beach, for misdemeanor simple battery.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary call at 4:52 p.m. on June 25 at 1200 Caminito Septimo, Encinitas. 

Connelly, 33, was arrested at 7:55 a.m. on June 26 at the Oceanside Transit Center, 100 South Tremont Street, Oceanside, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for felony vandalism ($400 or more). The victim reported a damaged camera ($1,600). 

Noel, 35, was cited and released at 12:10 p.m. on June 26 at the Encinitas Transit Center, East D Street, Encinitas, for misdemeanor simple battery. The victim reported an apparent minor injury.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 12:22 p.m. on June 26 at 100 Rodney Avenue, Encinitas. The victim reported stolen intangible personal identifying information. 

Ranes, 37, was arrested at 12:23 p.m. on June 26 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2200 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for a felony warrant from another agency.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for fraud at 1:05 p.m. on June 26 at 18000 Calle Ambiente, Rancho Santa Fe.

Ramirez, 27, was cited and released at 1:43 p.m. on June 26 at the College Sprinter Station, 4100 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Ramirez, 34, was arrested at 2:08 p.m. on June 26 at San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 100 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and use/under the influence of a controlled substance. 

Dick, 56, was cited and released at 2:10 p.m. on June 25 at the Melrose Sprinter Station Platform, 1400 North Melrose Drive, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Snyder, 28, was cited and released at 2:11 p.m. on June 25 at the Melrose Sprinter Station, 1400 North Melrose Drive, Vista, for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 2:29 p.m. on June 26 at Target, 1000 North El Camino Real, Encinitas. The victim, a store, reported 14 stolen miscellaneous consumable goods ($1,542.22).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for found property at 3:30 p.m. on June 26 at 100 North El Camino Real, Encinitas. A black Savage Arms Axis Rem 223 rifle was reported as found.

Curiel, 34, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. on June 26 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2200 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (intoxicated, drugs with alcohol). 

Knight, 30, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. on June 26 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2200 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (alcohol). 

Martinez, 22, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. on June 26 at 100 South Sierra Avenue, Solana Beach, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for disorderly conduct (alcohol).

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a welfare check at 9:06 a.m. on June 27 at 2800 Santa Fe Vista Court, Encinitas.

Sholey, 30, was arrested at 9:49 a.m. on June 27 at Vons, 400 Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor use/under the influence of a controlled substance. 

Bennett, 31, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. on June 27 at the Melrose Sprinter Station, 1400 North Melrose Drive, Vista, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for a felony probation violation (rearrest/revoke) and misdemeanor possession of a narcotic controlled substance.

Starnes, 44, was cited and released at 2:33 p.m. on June 27 at the Melrose Sprinter Station Platform, 1400 North Melrose Drive, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Ramirez, 50, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. on June 27 at the Melrose Sprinter Station Platform, 1400 North Melrose Drive, Oceanside, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for a felony warrant from another agency. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 2:44 p.m. on June 27 at Walmart, 1500 Leucadia Blvd, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen pair of black Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses ($200). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 4:29 p.m. on June 27 at 2000 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen black CZ 75 SP pistol ($700), magazine ($100), and keys ($250). 

Noel, 35, was cited and released at 7:17 p.m. on June 27 at Swami’s Beach, 1300 South Coast Highway 101, Cardiff by the Sea, for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (alcohol). 

Soder, 45, was arrested at 7:47 a.m. on June 28 at Moonlight Beach, 400 West B Street, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for felony assault with a deadly weapon (possible great bodily injury). The victim had no reported injuries. Marijuana was also reported as found at the scene.

Artis, 30, was cited and released at 8:59 a.m. on June 28 at the Oceanside Transit Center, 100 South Tremont Street, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Bautista, 43, was cited and released at 9:40 a.m. on June 28 at 1900 Apple Street, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Ivy, 32, was arrested at 10:46 a.m. on June 28 at Vista Station, 300 South Melrose Drive, Vista, for a felony bench warrant.

York, 37, was arrested at 10:26 a.m. on June 28 at the Nordahl Road Sprinter Station, 2100 Barham Drive, Escondido, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for a felony parole violation. 

Murray, 58, was arrested at 5:11 p.m. on June 28 at 1800 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor DUI (alcohol) and DUI (alcohol/.08 percent). 

Nalap, 42, was arrested at 6:54 p.m. on June 28 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2200 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (intoxicated, drugs with alcohol). 

Gil, 36, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. on June 28 at Cottonwood Creek Park, North Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (intoxicated, drugs with alcohol).

Rodgers, 52, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. on June 28 at 200 25th Street, Del Mar, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for felony burglary (residential). The victim reported a stolen black/gray Apple cell phone ($800) and two pairs of keys ($200), all of which were later recovered. 

Gregorio, 39, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. on June 29 at In N Out Burger, 100 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor driving without a valid driver’s license, DUI (alcohol), and DUI (alcohol/.08 percent). 

Nevett, 57, was arrested at 9:52 a.m. on June 29 at North Vulcan Avenue and Leucadia Blvd, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for a felony probation violation. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 10:21 a.m. on June 29 at 3500 Manchester Avenue, Encinitas. The victims reported stolen miscellaneous goods ($2,650), a knife ($50), a red/black backpack ($300), and keys ($50).

Torres, 29, was cited and released at 10:23 a.m. on June 29 at 3700 Plaza Drive, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Sanchez, 44, was cited and released at 10:23 a.m. on June 29 at McDonald’s, 3700 Plaza Drive, Oceanside, for a misdemeanor active warrant. 

Rojas, 44, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. on June 29 at 1800 North Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for a misdemeanor bench warrant. 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vandalism at 12:16 p.m. on June 29 at Honey’s Bistro and Bakery, 600 South Coast Highway 101, Encinitas. The victim reported damaged miscellaneous goods ($1,200). 

Knight, 24, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. on June 29 at Saddle Bar, 100 Plaza Street, Solana Beach, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (intoxicated, drugs with alcohol). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for simple battery at 9:47 a.m. on June 30 at the San Diego County Fair, Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2200 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar. The victim had no reported injuries.

Gil, 36, was arrested at 10:44 a.m. on June 30 at 900 North Vulcan Avenue, Encinitas, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for misdemeanor disorderly conduct (alcohol). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 11:05 a.m. on June 30 at 2300 Newcastle Avenue, Encinitas. The victim reported a stolen white four-door sedan ($25,000). 

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call to assist another agency at 6:16 p.m. on June 30 at 17800 La Amapola, Rancho Santa Fe.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for battery at 8:40 p.m. on June 30 at 900 Via Mil Cumbres, Solana Beach. The victim had no reported injuries.
