OCEANSIDE — Thousands of San Diego Gas & Electric customers were without power this morning following multiple outages across North County.
The outages were reported mainly around 6:30 a.m. in Oceanside, including the San Luis Rey and Ocean Hills neighborhoods, according to the utility.
At least 3,059 customers were affected in those areas, with service expected to be restored by about 9 a.m., SDG&E said.
In Vista, about 1,284 outages were detected around 6 a.m., with restoration expected around 10 a.m.
Another 23 customers in Escondido lost power around 4:50 a.m., and service was projected to return by about 1 p.m., the utility reported.
The cause of the outages was not immediately known.
