SOLANA BEACH — After more than a decade of planning and 15 months of construction, city leaders officially “reopened” about a 1-mile stretch of Coast Highway 101.
Having read Mr. Doug Fiske’s “community commentary” in The Coast News (dated Jan. 25), we had to wonder where this person is getting his false information and interpretation about the Leucadia Streetscape Plan.

SOLANA BEACH — When the city broke ground in June on a project to improve Coast Highway 101, the owner of the construction company selected for the job said he only makes promises he can keep.
SOLANA BEACH — In an effort to accelerate construction of some critical underground work that is being installed as part of the Highway 101 improvement project, and to improve access to the businesses within the construction zone, the contractor was authorized to extend the work hours until 9 p.m. for three nights next week.
SOLANA BEACH — The long-planned renovation project currently under way along a 1-mile stretch of Coast Highway 101 came with assurances the improvements would increase business along the corridor.
The Streetscape planned for the North 101 Corridor was presented, discussed, modified and approved through multiple public workshops.
