Opinion: What to expect from the president elect?

Oh well, we really don’t know what his plans are, so it might not be too bad. Oh wait, he has told us what his plans are and what he will do on day one and beyond in Project 2025.

If you are one of the following, be very, very afraid:

You are NOT white
You are NOT Christian
English is NOT your first language
You are in the Military
You are a government employee/civil servant
You do NOT have “your papers”
You are LGBTQ
You are on social security or medicare
You are NOT a Republican
You are NOT male
You work in the Justice Department
You are middle class
You are pregnant
You receive Federal assistance
You are a teacher
You live in Ukraine or any country west of or bordering Ukraine
You are a political adversary

If you are not one of the above, you SHOULD  be alright, for now.

The dictator will show himself on day one, as promised. He will undermine the Justice Department, packing it with his cronies who will do his bidding regardless of the law.

Then, he will move on to arresting political adversaries, closing media outlets that do not suit him and controlling all media sites and communications.

He will suspend any parts of the Constitution that he finds offensive or limiting. The military will be used to maintain order and protests of any kind, with the option to use deadly force.

Most known medical science will be discarded in favor of optional vaccines rather than mandatory or none at all. Federal regulatory bodies over banking and other businesses will be eliminated, such as FICA, FAA, FDA, etc.. The Environmental Protection Agency, started by a Republican president, will also be eliminated.

Drilling of oil in the Arctic Preserve and along the Coast of California will take place.

He will pardon all the insurrectionists who assaulted our United States Capitol building, wounding and killing police officers on January 6th, and of course, he will pardon Donald J. Trump! His international allies are named Putin, Kim, and Orban.

This is a man who lies at the drop of a hat! This is a man who stated: “Vote for me, and you will not have to vote ever again.” What do you think he meant?

Clearly, many voters had issues with the other candidate. Too female, too dark, too liberal? Tells the truth, is for law and justice, and has empathy for others.

The economy is doing great. The stock market is way up. Inflation is coming down. Unemployment is way down. Both parties of Congress agreed to an immigration plan, but this man told the Republicans in Congress not to pass it so that he could use it as his election issue and part of his fear-based solicitations.

We will soon become a fascist state for the world to point to and ask: “How the hell did that happen?”
A historic insight: When the Constitution was being signed on Sept. 17, 1787, Benjamin Franklin gave a speech in which he said in part:

“In these sentiments, sir, I agree to this Constitution with all its faults, if they are such, because I think a general government necessary for us, and there is no form of government, but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered; and believe further, that this is likely to be well for a course of years, and can only end in despotism, as other forms have done before when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic government.”

After the convention, a woman, Elizabeth Willing Powell, asked the question: “Well, Doctor, what have we got? A Republic or a Monarchy?” Benjamin Franklin replied, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”
