In loving memory of Ronald “Ron” Charles Rollo
January 23, 1943 – June 29, 2026
Ronald “Ron” Charles Rollo, 83, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away June 29, 2026, following a courageous battle with lymphoma and leukemia. Born January 23, 1943, in Geneva, New York,
In his youth, he was active in sports and spent his summers working at his Uncle Lou’s motor lodge, The Chanticleer, or on his Uncle Adam’s farm in upstate New York.
Ron attended Geneva High School and Cortland College.
On spring break he met the love of his life, Sharon Hodgman. They eloped in 1962, beginning a remarkable 64-year marriage and raising four children together.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Ron’s greatest joy was his family. He loved taking them camping in the family tent trailer to Death Valley, the Central Coast, and countless summer baseball tournaments, cherishing every event spent together.
He coached his sons’ baseball teams, supported his children’s activities and later proudly cheered on all of his grandchildren.
A driven entrepreneur, Ron built successful insurance, financial planning and payphone businesses.
He also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, including projects alongside former President Jimmy Carter. Ron and Sharon traveled the country helping build homes for families in need.
Beyond his professional success, Ron was an avid sports enthusiast who could often be found watching every available game or match on television, passionately cheering for his favorite teams.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; children Victor, Kymberly (Joe), Kelley (Richard) and Charles (Julia); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Barbara; and many family and friends.
Ron will be remembered for his determination, love of sports and, above all, his devotion to his family. Memorial prayer Service Tuesday October 20,2026 11:00am St. Patrick’s 3821 Adams St, Carlsbad, CA, 92008
