OCEANSIDE — The Oceanside Museum of Art turns to the art of music as jazz pianistDanny Green returns to OMA with his world music rhythms for 333’s Jazz at the Museum concert series.
Equally versed in classical, jazz and Latin styles, Green will be playing selections from his upcoming release, “A Thousand Ways Home,” with band members Tripp Sprague on saxophone, Justin Grinnell on bass and Julien Cantelm on drums, from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 16, at OMA, 704 Pier View Way.
Join OMA and 333 Pacific Restaurant for this jazz series with a new cocktail format. Guest will enjoy gourmet appetizers, desserts and specialty wines throughout the show with plenty of room for dancing and mingling. 333’s Jazz at the Museum is supported in part by the James Irvine Foundation. Opened in 1995, Oceanside Museum of Art fosters and promotes the study, appreciation, and understanding of art, with special focus on regional art, through its exhibitions, collections, and educational programs. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. General admission is $8, $5 for seniors and free for students and military.
