The Betty White challenge, to donate $5 to an animal shelter on her 100th birthday Jan. 17, brought generous donations to Rancho Coastal Humane Society. The challenge generated more than $12,000 in donations by end of day and the funds are already at work, as RCHS Medical Director Kathy Zerkle performs an exam on a newly arrived Pug puppy.
