Dear Grandma, I’m excited to wear my new sneakers to school, but I’m worried they’ll get dirty. I can’t decide what to do. Do you have any suggestions?
My Grandma wrote back and reminded me that sneakers are made to protect our feet, and it’s okay if they get a little dirty. She said we can wipe them off at the end of the day.
Her letter made me feel much better! Do you have another idea? I’d love to hear from you! Remember, no question is too big, too small, or too silly.

My hair is always tangled. What should I do?

Dear Nili,
Tangled hair can feel like a T. rex-sized dinosaur problem! Even my long tail gets twisted in vines now and then.
Here’s what you can do:
First, start at the very bottom of the tangle and gently work your way up, little by little.
Next, ask a grown-up if you can use a detangling spray with a wide-tooth comb (like my teeth) or brush.
Before bed, try putting your hair in a loose braid.
While you are dreaming of fun adventures, your hair will not have as many chances to tie itself into knots!
Here is a special Rexy tip:
Sometimes our biggest tangles aren’t in our hair — they are in our thoughts. When that happens, slow down, smile and remember that little problems can be solved one step at a time.

I’m going to see my grandparents this fall in France, and I don’t speak French. What should I do?

“Roar-bonjour!” (That’s dinosaur for “hello!”)
If I ever stomped my way to France, I would have the same worry as you. Dinosaurs never learned French either.
Here is a secret: A smile is a language that everyone understands. Even if you can’t say many words in French, you can wave, grin and be kind.
Before your trip, learn a few words like:
- Bonjour (hello)
- S’il vous plaît (please)
- Merci (thank you)
- Au revoir (goodbye)
- Je t’aime (I love you)
Your grandparents will be delighted that you are trying.
Everyone makes mistakes when learning something new — even me. Imagine trying to speak French with giant dinosaur teeth!
Remember that families also play games, share meals, laugh and give hugs.
By the end of your visit, you will know new French words to teach your friends.
