SOLANA BEACH — An 80-room hotel on South Highway 101 has opened following a complete renovation and will hold a grand-opening celebration Nov. 13.
The Voco Solana Beach-Del Mar, owned and managed by Pacifica Host Hotels, is the first property in San Diego County to operate under IHG’s Voco brand, according to the company.
The renovation included redesigned guest rooms and bathrooms and updates to the lobby and exterior. The rooms feature coastal decor inspired by local surf culture.
The hotel also includes 101 & Vine, a restaurant and bar, an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a 24-hour fitness center.
“We’re proud to bring the first Voco in San Diego to the iconic Highway 101, and we know our guests will love this welcoming home base just steps from the beach and everything else our region has to offer,” Sushil Israni, managing partner of Pacifica Host Hotels, said in a news release.
A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Nov. 13. Organizers said the celebration will include room tours, refreshments and drawings for overnight stays at the hotel and other Pacifica properties.
The company did not disclose the renovation cost in its announcement.
Pacifica’s other San Diego County properties include La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, Hotel Indigo San Diego Del Mar and three Carlsbad hotels: Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and West Inn & Suites.
