Mohammad Ghazizadeh recently celebrated his first full year as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Alila Marea Beach Resort, having relocated from the hospitality scene of Los Angeles—where he specialized in the Beverly Hills market.
“While the shift to Encinitas brought a new pace, the local surf-town energy has been nothing but inspiring,” he shares.
“In my role, I have the privilege of shaping and sharing Alila Marea’s story. From designing immersive guest experiences and partnering with local influencers and media outlets, to introducing more locals to our world-class restaurants, spa, and coastal amenities, every day is a rewarding opportunity to elevate our brand and strengthen our connection with the community.”
Born in Iran and raised in Miami, Mohammad moved west after college and quickly climbed the ranks of the hospitality world in Los Angeles.
“In 2024, the opportunity to join Alila Marea brought my family and me to beautiful North County—and we’ve been loving life here ever since!”
Mohammad is an active member of the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Visit Encinitas Tourism Advisory Board.
“What makes this place special is the pride people take in where they live and work. I see neighbors supporting neighbors, businesses collaborating, and a real drive to make Encinitas thrive. Being part of that energy through the Chamber feels like the most natural—and important—thing to do.”
“It was an honor to be invited to join the Tourism Advisory Board. I’m passionate about helping showcase everything that makes Encinitas such a vibrant, inspiring place to visit and live.”
This summer, Alila Marea is turning up the energy with live music every Wednesday at VAGA, Solento Tequila poolside activations on Saturdays in July, Martini Mondays, and their signature Champagne Brunch every weekend.
“Whether it’s a staycation, a sunset dinner with sweeping Pacific Views, or a spa afternoon, we love welcoming our local community and showing them how special their own backyard can be.”
Perfect day in Encinitas?
“Cruising the coast on my e-bike, soaking in the ocean views, stopping at Pannikin for a latte and bite—then heading to the Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens to journal, read, and meditate, and wrapping up with a cold beer at Modern Times. Simple, grounding, and a perfect reminder of how lucky we are to call this place home.”
