ESCONDIDO — The San Diego Humane Society’s Humane Law Enforcement Team removed 41 animals – 28 dogs, six puppies, four cats, two kittens and one chameleon – from a private residence on Wednesday.
According to the Humane Society, its veterinary and animal care teams are delivering treatment to the animals as necessary.
“As this is an active case, we are unable to share further details at this time,” said SDHS spokesperson Nina Thompson.
The organization is now caring for 1,938 animals, 750 of which are available for adoption.
