Free emergency disaster preparation guide for homeowners and renters

A free Emergency Disaster Preparation guide is now being offered to any homeowner or renter in America.

Natural disasters can range from wildfires, hurricanes, floods and tornadoes, to snowstorms, and lightning storms that can, and do, happen at any time, day or night. As well as man-made gas leaks, chemical spills and other potential hazards, that can create situations where home evacuations temporarily push people into a shelter. Current media coverage of disasters, have illustrated this.

This free Emergency Disaster Preparation guide contains information to prepare the public for a variety of situations. The guide also has suggested lists of supplies to keep in a house for specific disaster situations.

Many federal, state and city government agencies suggest homeowners become proactive by having well-prepared emergency supply bags both at home in their cars and at work.

They recommend having an emergency supply kit ready, well before news of any disaster. The kit needs to be accessible for quick evacuation for the possibility of being away from home for several days.

While there are many names – the kit, grab bag, disaster bag or ‘go bag’ it should be kept light enough for carrying and easy lifting into a vehicle. Annual checks are suggested to keep food and water supplies stocked and ready to use.

“I worked with the Go Bag USA company, to create this new Emergency Disaster Preparation Guide to assist the public to be prepared for any emergency or evacuation either at work or at home.  With disasters happening all over America, it was my goal to help people to be prepared and return home safely,” says Bruce Fischer, author of the new book, “Ready, Set, Go! — Leaving Your Home During a Natural Disaster.”

“I know from my experience and research, that being at a shelter will be more comfortable if you are prepared.”
