FEAST to celebrate Oceanside’s growing foodie scene

OCEANSIDE — Oceanside is quickly becoming San Diego’s next great foodie neighborhood, with new restaurants and breweries opening and established favorites receiving some more recent, well-deserved, attention.

FEAST, a brand-new food festival and community fundraiser hosted by The Old Mission San Luis Rey, Osider Magazine and OnoYum’s creator Nino “Neens” Camilo, will highlight over a dozen restaurants, breweries and distilleries located exclusively in Oceanside and benefit local nonprofit organizations in the community. Participating restaurants include Master’s Kitchen & Cocktail, Panca Peruvian Cuisine & Rotisserie, Privateer Coal Fire Pizza, Petite Madeline Bakery, Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen and more.

Taking place at The Old Mission San Luis Rey, a historical landmark and the largest of all the 21 California missions, the event will feature food, wine, beer, spirits, live music and a silent auction and raffle featuring items from local businesses and supporters.

With the purchase of each $45 ticket attendees will get to choose which worthy organization will benefit from their purchase. Below is the list of 501(c) (3) organizations to choose from:

Historic Mission San Luis Rey

Oceanside Rotary Club

The Lavanderia Project

Vista teen Outreach

Dream Keepers Project

Teri Inc.

Ivey ranch Park Association

Old Mission Montessori School

Canine Companies for Independence

The event is July 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available at mslrfeast.com.
