Family-owned, community-rooted and passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives.
At Earthwise Pet Cardiff, we believe our pets are more than companions — they’re family. They fill our lives with unconditional love, and we believe they deserve that same love and devotion in return.
For us, caring for animals isn’t just a business. It’s personal.
My name is Leslie, and alongside my daughter and stepdaughter, Emma and Rachel, I have the privilege of running Earthwise Pet Cardiff. With our family’s roots in North County dating back to the 1970s, this community has always been home. Together, we’ve created a place where our love for animals meets our commitment to their health, happiness, and well-being.
As a certified pet nutritionist, I understand the important role nutrition plays in an animal’s overall health. I also know how overwhelming choosing the right food can be. With countless brands, conflicting information, and ever-changing trends, knowing what’s truly best for your pet isn’t always easy.
That’s why we do the research, so you don’t have to.
We carefully evaluate every brand we carry, looking beyond marketing claims to understand ingredients, sourcing, manufacturing practices, sustainability, and nutritional quality. We believe pet parents deserve to know what’s going into their animals’ bodies, and that healthy, high-quality nutrition shouldn’t come with an unreasonable price tag.
Our philosophy is centered on caring for the whole animal. Beyond thoughtfully selected foods, we offer supplements, healthy treats, toys, and products that support physical and emotional well-being.
Our professional grooming services reflect that same philosophy. We offer a cage-free grooming environment, scheduling one appointment at a time so each pet receives personalized attention in a calm, caring setting. Grooming should be more than a beauty appointment — it should be a positive experience that contributes to your pet’s comfort and overall well-being.
But perhaps what makes Earthwise Pet Cardiff most special is what you won’t find on a shelf.
We want to be a trusted resource for our community — a place where you can stop in, ask questions, discuss nutritional concerns, and receive thoughtful, knowledgeable guidance without pressure or obligation to purchase. Every animal is unique, and we believe their care should be too.
For Emma, Rachel, and me, this is about much more than selling pet food. It’s about building relationships, sharing knowledge, and helping families make informed decisions for the animals they love.
We’re grateful to be part of this wonderful community and honored to play a role in the lives of its pets.
Because at Earthwise Pet Cardiff, your pets aren’t just our customers. They’re the reason we do what we do.
We warmly invite our North County neighbors to stop by, meet our family, and experience a different kind of pet store.
