ENCINITAS — Plenty of high-pitched voices could be overheard exclaiming how cute that dog is — that one, too, on Saturday in the Encinitas community of Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Cardiff 101 Main Street’s annual Dog Days of Summer event opens up a few streets for pedestrians and pooches. Newcastle Avenue, Aberdeen and Liverpool drives were filled with vendors and lined with green turf so the heat of the asphalt wouldn’t burn the paws of the four-legged attendees.
