Vaccination risks: Knowledge is power

Kudos to Stephanie Dumont for her insightful article on political, ethical and financial concerns regarding the proposed SB 277.

The cost of insuring against vaccine injuries will be passed along to the school districts, who can ill afford it.

The previous article written by Thomas Elias did little more than propagandize for the pro-vaccination lobby.

For example, the measles outbreak that occurred in the Del Mar Union school district last year involved a majority of vaccinated students.

It would seem that these vaccinations carry a definite risk, with a decidedly indefinite promise of immunity.

Last week two babies died and 14 more were hospitalized in a small Mexican village after being vaccinated.

A personal report to the author indicated that the death toll was actually seven.

An internal memo from the manufacturer did not require a recall of “hot lots” but rather an order to break up these lots of vials so that one population would not suffer an unusually high rate of adverse reactions.

Folks, these are pharmaceutical corporations you are entrusting with your child’s health.

They are not exactly public service organizations and the revolving door between the FDA, the CDC, and private industry in paved with gold.

The wolf is guarding the chicken coop: are your chickens safe?

The self-righteous senator who introduced the bill has benefited from this highly profitable relationship.

The bottom line is innocent children are now dead and damaged.

Do you want yours to be next?

If you are worried about your susceptible infants being exposed to the unvaccinated, you live in the wrong place.

We have open borders. Tuberculosis is everywhere. If the government’s concern were your child’s public health, this would not be the case. SB277 means the government owns your child, it’s that simple.

That was last the case during the era of slavery. Get ready for more of the same.

Federally mandated vaccinations is coming for everyone, and soon.

Don’t you find it strange that so many states are submitting similar compulsory vaccinations bills at the same time?

The CDC is pulling the strings and their agenda is largely unknown.

Unless you trust that every vaccination is contaminant free, has only the ingredients listed, and that all those factors (viral DNA fragments, fetal cell lines, trace metals) are completely safe, you had better think twice about injecting them into your body or forcing someone else to do so.

This event in Mexico was very timely in provoking us to consider the wisdom of forced, government-mandated vaccinations.

Of course these “statistics” won’t count according to the CDC because the adverse events did not occur in the U.S.

Sadly, most adverse reactions to vaccinations in the U.S. are not reported, in part because of the stringent time reporting requirements.

A baby that dies over two weeks later, or shows signs of autism a month later is simply not a significant statistic.

Scientifically it is difficult to prove a negative, yet the CDC adheres to the mantra that “it couldn’t be the vaccines.”

One of the main studies used to back up that claim was the Danish study.

The chief investigator, Poul Thorsen was indicted for financial fraud for embezzling the funds meant to conduct the study. Yet he was not changed with scientific fraud.

The CDC did not re-evaluate their conclusions that MMR does not cause autism.

How strange.

Do you find it even more odd that Dr. Wakefield was charged with scientific fraud for a small-scale study that thousands of mothers of autistic children will confirm is accurate?

You must do your own due diligence to discover the truth.

Wouldn’t it make sense to refrain from any further submission to vaccination until you are completely certain that it is safe and effective?

As Ms. Dumont pointed out, “safe” only means the number of kids that were killed or damaged is at an acceptable level of collateral damage and statistics were appropriately skewed.

“Effective” means produces an antibody titer, not protection from any particular disease.

Why else would an increasing schedule of booster be required?

I would be happy to provide an extensive scientific bibliography of references to anyone who wants to do their due diligence in this matter.

I do not support mandatory vaccinations, rather I support parents making informed decisions with their physicians based on their child’s physiology. My children have all vaccines but one, because they both reacted severely to the vaccination requiring hospitalization. It is my understanding when I read this bill that we are not exempt. How can that be?

While I want to protect your child, why does mine need to suffer extremely high fevers. Why can’t my child be exempt from the second dose of this vaccine? Isn’t the premise being used to support this bill that we need to support those that cannot be vaccinated, but now someone else is deciding who that will be?

Please don’t take away my rights as a mother to make informed decisions on behalf of my children! Keep all our kids as safe as possible.

Pray that more and more people are becoming more educated on the dangers of vaccines.
This is a horrible bill and it is going to cause many, many injuries.
Everyone is different. Everyone has different reactions to drugs. Mandating vaccines for all is absolutely criminal!!!!

Beverly Young June 8, 2015 at 11:13 am

Jason, I am done. You are truly hopeless

Beverly Young June 7, 2015 at 5:49 pm

Also, Jason, if you truly want to protect your children and I am sure that you do, please keep an open mind. The media does not tell us the truth because they are largely funded by the big pharma’s. Start questioning more. Medical schools ARE also largely funded by the big pharma’s. Ask your doctor about the side effects in the vaccines and ask to see the full insert for each one given. I am not trying to be an antagagonist. I just want people to not be so accepting about vaccines and ask more questions and really be sure that they will not harm their children.
BTW, I am most definately not alone in any way about the way I feel about drugs.
Also, I am 75 yrs old and I have questioned doctors since I was 16. I had one pediatrician with my children who told me “I always listen to the mothers as they are the ones who know their child better than I do.” His name was Dr. Plumb and he was in Newport Beach, Ca. He and one doctor at Stanford university are the only doctors that I have ever had complete trust in. I rarely go to a doctor because when I do they hand me a bunch of prescriptions which I do not get filled.

It’s a real shame that this newspaper would print such an article . This article would be laughably inaccurate if it wasn’t such a real problem .
Vaccinate your kids !

Beverly Young June 6, 2015 at 8:27 pm

Jason, You won’t be laughing when they start adding more and more vaccines to the schedule.
This is about parents and their doctors having the choice on what vaccines to have their child receive.
This is about government taking away more of your freedoms.
There is nothing that is safe for all people especially vaccines.
Medical exemptions will be very very difficult to obtain because of the insurance companies.
My children were vaccinated BUT at that time there were only 3 or 4 vaccines. Now a child is given 49 doses before the age of 6. If all children are mandated to take every single vaccine, there will be injuries, disabillatating illnesses and deaths.
There needs to be screening tests, paid for by the state, before vaccinating if a parent feels that it is questionable for the safety of their children. Guess what, there are tests for dogs before vaccinating BUT none for children.

Beverly Young June 6, 2015 at 8:28 pm

Debillatating

jason June 7, 2015 at 12:15 am

Before the measles vaccine was introduced, the disease killed around 380 American children every year. Now, annual child deaths in the U.S. from measles average around one.

Failing to vaccinate children is a public health risk, and not just for the children of anti-vaxxers. There’s a small percentage of the population that can’t get vaccinations due to various health conditions (chemotherapy patients, for example). These people have to rely on a highly-immunized population at large in order to be protected from certain illnesses, a phenomenon known as ”herd immunity.” The health of such people is directly endangered by the anti-vaccination movement, which is why some physicians believe that getting vaccinated is a social responsibility, not just a personal one.
So i feel, Requiring vaccination records to enroll in school is not just a matter of coercion, but of protecting the school population. Seems sensible.

Beverly Young June 7, 2015 at 12:59 am

1. Say that I want to opt out on one vaccine, HepB for instance, My healthy children are declared unvaccinated by the state and will not be able to attend school BUT a child who has HepB will be able to attend school.
2. Homeless children are exempt from vaccines and can attend school.
3. Many of the people that got the measles at Disneyland (not in a school) were vaccinated.
4. The MMR and the Varicella vaccine CAN and DO shed the live virus up to 6 weeks. This is in the inserts.
5. If your child is vaccinated why should you worry about my child who is healthy contaminating yours?
6. Again, this bill is about a parent’s right to choose. If this bill passes, next will be you won’t be able to go anywhere in public without your vaccine records because school is certainly not the only place that one can get a contagious disease, is it.
7. I do not care for the vast inclusion of government in my life! Start thinking about all that has been done in the name of “public safety”. It could even end up that we will all have to carry an oxygen tank wherever we go because the air is not safe to breathe anymore.

jason June 7, 2015 at 10:25 am

Frankly you sound incredibly selfish . You shouldn’t vaccinate your kids because they are healthy now ???? You live in a community. Vaccines have been the most successful health program ever . There are risk, but their is a much greater risk to not vaccinating your child, or yourself . If you truly feel like this then either….. vaccinate or go buy an island and live with your healthy children there. The community needs less of people like yourself in it .

And in regard to your other comments , you are on the wrong side of history and fact . I suggest you go back to each one of your bullet points and research them to their source . The majority of your comments are based on Fear and ignorance. You’ve seem go have mixed up some truth , with plain b.s. it hardly takes anytime at all to debunk your antivaxxers rhetoric . If you have enough time to respond , that is all the time you would need to back your claims up or not . And not from criminals like ex dr . Andrew Wakefield who truly started most of this mess .

I have children and would do everything I could to protect them . And that does take some real risk and courage as a parent to do the best thing not the gut feeling thing. Dr’s are inthe business of saving lives.

Please do the unbiased research , best case you are 100 % right .and the super majority of Dr’s , researchers , universities , and worldwide research facilities would be proven wrong by you ! . You would be nobel worthy for sure !

Beverly Young June 7, 2015 at 11:29 am

I have done a ton of research. Have you? Just go to the CDC website and look at the ingrediants and side effects that are in the vaccine inserts and then tell me that vaccines are safe for all. Am I being “selfish” because I believe screening tests should be done first?

Eileen Griffiths May 23, 2015 at 7:12 pm

Is SE Rogers a medical doctor? There is no mention of a PHD. Just wondering where the Dr. Title was bestowed. I am appalled that your newspaper would print an article that is so full of inaccuracies. This type of misinformation creates paranoia. We need to protect our children against communicable disease and are fortunate to have vaccines available that can achieve this. Dr. Wakefield has lost his medical license for publishing fraudulent research. Please educate yourself on the genetic factors that contribute to autism.

Rae May 25, 2015 at 10:15 pm

Your doctors who study medicine know more than a person with a doctorate in immunology? Is that what you are saying, Eileen?

Beverly Young June 7, 2015 at 5:33 pm

I just watched the movie “Bought”. You can watch it for free now thru June 17th. I sincerely hope you will watch this film. I really find it to be most difficult to dispute anything in it.

jason June 8, 2015 at 10:08 am

The onlyonly significant notion in the entire movie represent corporate misbehavior at its worse, They have lassed sunshine laws to prevent this in 2014 …..Moat importantly they in no way indicate that vaccines are harmful to children or anyone else.

Otherwise the entire movie is unscientific nonsense . And will soon fall of into obsxurity

They scream and yell that the corporations with all their money are all evil yada yada yada. And many of them represent the 7 billion dollar a year homeopathy business. Homeopathy his snake oil in its purest form. There is not one paper or study to show that homeopathy has any efficacy at all. If these people or yourself had any intellectual honesty about what the truth was , then why haven’t they decried that .

Back to the movie ,
Vaccines have been overwhelmingly confirmed to not cause autism …that is a extrelmely well studied fact . You can’t base facts on feelings , that is why we have science . And the best science is repeatable by others , …

Pertussis vaccine does not cause brain damage .. that has been thoroughly tested and debunked …look at cdc, world health organizationization etc the list goes on and on

GMO.s have bwen thouroughly studied for 25 years their is no evidence of their harm to humans . On pub med alone their is about 1800 peer reviewed papers on those studies , how many for gmos being harmful ….0? In fact they allow for less pesticides and environmental impact on the world ! Very easy to check , don’t just check your website look at ones that have peer reviewed studies ….real science .

Gluten only really affects 1% of the population with celiacs disease the other 99% are not really affected by the gluten. My wife has celiac , it is a real dangerous thingv. This movie portrays gluten very in scientifically …

One thing after another this movie fails miserably on showing what’s the truth as opposed to what fear mongering and cherry picking bad data ….at one point a PhD in economics talks about vaccines and autism …..really ? These are your best researchers??? This is all fringe backwards tbinkging, throughout history fall earthers , moon lading deniers , and now antivaxxers . it’s a shame that this just perpetuates the unscientific unfounded fear mongering . Their is always work work to be done to make everything safer for everyone the environment and the people and unfortunately these people who create this garbage take the resources of people doing real science real good work away from them.

The fact that you can’t find any way to disprove this movie. Convinces me that you truly aren’t digging deep . digging deep into your own pile of sources is not digging Deep. Yoi have to step outside your comfort zone and soundboards all the time . You mentioned the cdc yesterday in your response …check the rest of the website out , rather than cherry pick a part of a sentence . You really discredit yourself by not doing all the reswarch, not the stuff that is just comfortable .

Please stop emailing me , until you’ve actually tried to research the topics you are discussing ,…it’s embarrassing .
