CARLSBAD — Supporters of Aviara Oaks Middle School, Pacific Rim Elementary and Lightning Soccer Club are raising funds with an old-fashioned ice cream social with a new twist.
From 11a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 13, Oct. 21 and Oct. 29, the Baskin-Robbins store at 6949 El Camino Real, Suite 101, will host an ice cream social that will raise funds to support the three groups. The groups are all made up of local youngsters and the new Baskin-Robbins site owners wanted to help them out. The ice cream social will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to the organizations.
“There’s nothing like the good old-fashion ice cream parlor,” said Amanda Ecoff, president of Friends of Pacific Rim. “Encouraging families to gather with other friends and neighbors in an ice cream parlor environment is a great idea for our community. We are so grateful for this opportunity to spend time together outside of school, having fun, raising funds for worthy school programs, and to offering a wholesome event for our community’s youth and their families. Thanks Baskin Robbins and welcome to the neighborhood!”
Organizations that are interested in having an Ice Cream Social at Baskin-Robbins to raise funds are encouraged to contact Tina Lentz at (760) 603-0031 for further details.
