OCEANSIDE — The world’s top female surfers and a lineup of free live concerts will converge this weekend at Oceanside Pier for the 18th annual Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro, the world’s largest women’s surf contest.
Hosted by ASA Entertainment, the three-day event will feature more than 140 athletes competing in the World Surf League Qualifying Series 3000. It will also offer a festival atmosphere with a range of activities, from esports tournaments to fitness classes and live music.
Defending champion Alyssa Spencer will be among the elite surfers vying for the title. Former Oceanside native Caity Simmers, Sawyer Lindblad and Sage Erickson will be participating in the WSL Rising Tides, sharing stories and offering wisdom to inspire women in attendance.
Simmers, 18, recently made history by becoming the world’s youngest female surf champion on Sept. 6 at the 2024 World Surfing League Final.
In addition to the surf competition, 16 free concerts will take place throughout the weekend, with performances from artists such as Bishop Briggs, CeeLo Green, Beach Weather and lovelytheband.
The event will also feature the Super Girl Gamer esports tournament, an all-female DJ competition, mentorship programs and new activities like beach volleyball, beach soccer and a professional skateboarding contest.

Nissan, the title sponsor, and CELSIUS, the presenting partner, remain committed to the event’s mission of promoting inclusion and empowerment.

Super Girl Surf Pro is free to attend and will run from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. the event will be nationally televised from Nov. 10 to Jan. 31 and streamed live through various platforms.
