RANCHO SANTA FE — As one enters their golden years, there are an array of questions that may arise regarding the choices they have for their senior care. On May 4, residents of Rancho Santa Fe and surrounding communities had the opportunity to hear guest speaker, Todd Shetter of ActivCare Living, cover a variety of topics at the Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center. The theme of the lecture was entitled, “Choosing the Right Care at the Right Time.”
The meeting afforded guests with information regarding what Medicare covers following a hospitalization stay and the variances between a skilled nursing center and at-home care.
Shetter also discussed residential senior living communities and the different levels of care that their guests can receive. For those who decide that a residential community is the right choice, their needs may differ over the years, and a community offering various levels of care can meet those healthcare expectations.
