OCEANSIDE — A 29,000-square-foot indoor dry-slide and air court park is preparing to open in Oceanside at the end of April, with attractions for all ages, from children to adults.
Slick City Action Park will open at 4241 Oceanside Blvd and feature 10 high-speed slides, as well as basketball and dodgeball air courts. This will be the park’s second location in California, with another currently open in Ontario.
Slick City describes itself as the world’s first indoor dry-slide and air court park, with 34 locations open in several states. The Oceanside location is one of dozens of new sites expected to open over the next year.
“Our expansion into Oceanside represents an exciting next step as we continue growing in California,” said Slick City CEO and co-founder Bron Launsby. “We’re looking forward to bringing our unique, all-ages entertainment experience to even more families in Southern California.”
Visitors can speed down steep slides that launch them into the air onto a cushioned mat, as well as looping and ramp-style slides that offer varying levels of intensity.
Slick City will also include a soft play zone for children 5 and under, known as the Junior Jungle. Other attractions will include go-karts, swing and trapeze bars, a web crawler, and an air court where groups can play basketball, dodgeball and other sports on a trampoline-like surface.
The Oceanside location will also feature a second-level mezzanine overlooking the park.
Slick City will offer single-day tickets as well as monthly, seasonal and annual passes. The park is also designed for group events such as birthday parties, corporate gatherings, field trips and community events.
Grand opening information will be available in the coming weeks. Slick City is currently targeting a late April opening, according to spokesperson Allison DuBois.
