PALA — Southern California poker players can enter a fun event and support a charity when the Pala Poker Room hosts a Toys for Tots Texas Hold’em tournament at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 at Pala Casino Spa & Resort.
The Toys for Tots tournament will have a $65 buy-in and a $15 entry fee. Players will start with $3,000 in chips and there will be a $5,000 guarantee. There will be a $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in chips and unlimited re-entry up to the third blind level. Blinds will be 20 minutes. Players will receive an additional $500 in starting chips for each unwrapped toy (limit 10) they donate to the annual Toys for Tots program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. U.S. Marines from the Navy and Marine Reserve Center will attend to greet each player and accept their donations. A complimentary breakfast buffet also will be served from 10 a.m. to noon.
