SOLANA BEACH — Beloved Southern California music festival Fiesta del Sol will return to Fletcher Cove in May for its 45th year, with two days of live performances from recently announced headliners.
The free festival, which also includes food, a beer garden, vendors, and a kids’ zone against an ocean backdrop, takes place on the weekend of May 30-31 and is organized by the Belly Up Tavern and the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Fiesta del Sol features a main-stage lineup on both days, in addition to local community performances, such as youth music school Rockadamy and Ballet Folklórico.
Headliners for this year’s festival include ska band The English Beat on Saturday and Grammy-winning Chicano rock band Los Lobos on Sunday.

Saturday, May 30: The English Beat, Common Sense, The fABBA Show, Sullvn, The Pine
Mountain Logs, Atomic Groove, Jessie Lark, Rockademy, Fusion Dance, Hullabaloo’s Kid Folk Music.
Sunday, May 31: Los Lobos, The McCharmlys, Seapoodle, Easy Wind, Cody Carter, The Morgan Wallen Experience, Rockademy, Jalisciense Folkloric Academy.
Fiesta del Sol runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Entry to the festival is free. However, for increased comfort and perks, visitors can purchase VIP or Seaside Pavilion tickets.
