SOLANA BEACH — Music lovers of all ages flocked to Solana Beach in the thousands over the weekend for the music and arts festival Fiesta Del Sol, featuring live tunes, food and beer, shopping and entertainment.
Considered Southern California’s largest free musical festival, the 44th annual Fiesta Del Sol takes place along South Acacia Avenue and Plaza Street at Fletcher Cove.
The parking lot of the Brixton Capital building is transformed into a temporary music venue, featuring a performance stage and a beer garden, for the event.
Vendors selling food, art, clothing, skateboards and other goods are also present nearby.
This year, attendees sang along to original music and covers across various genres by performers such as dance band Atomic Groove, the Pine Mountain Logs, mashup DJ Z-Trip, ZB Savoy, The Pettybreakers, Hot Lava and more.
Local youth also took the stage on Saturday and Sunday mornings to showcase their talents. Jaliscience Folkloric Academy shared traditional dances with the audience, followed by students at Rockademy, a music school in Solana Beach.
Fiesta Del Sol is presented by the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce and Belly Up.
