ENCINITAS — The Encinitas City Council will interview city manager hopefuls during a closed session meeting Saturday morning.
Encinitas officials are currently searching for a permanent city manager after Gus Vina, who previously held the position, departed to Northern California in January. Former public works director Larry Watt is holding the position on an interim basis.
The number of finalists is unknown, as the council has declined to make that information public.
An announcement is not expected following the special meeting, which starts at 10:30 a.m., though the council could choose to make a selection if they find unanimity following the interviews.
