VISTA — Sheldon Lenkowski will be awarded as the Vista Art Foundations’ November artist of the month at a public reception at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 7, 205 Main Street. Lenkowski, who started out as a New York-based graphic designer, has had many national and international clients. He relocated to Vista in 2001, and expanded his talent to creating children’s art using felt fabric. His latest foray is scratch art, a form of etching.
He now obsesses over lines and finite detail. His fascination with the scratch art medium has no end. The materials available for “scratching” include not only black and white, but also multicolor, glitter backgrounds and more.
