Vista Farmers Market introduces fresh meat

VISTA — Raising cows and pigs on grass without antibiotics and hormones near Monterey, Calif., SonRise Ranch will be the first farmer to sell fresh meats at the Saturday morning Vista Farmers Market, starting July 10 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Vista County Courthouse at 325 South Melrose Drive, just south of Highway 78.
Mark Wall, manger of the Vista Farmers Market, has raised and sold poultry in California. “Meat processing plants are few and far in California and we are glad to have a real farmer who raises animals in a healthy manner added to the already wide variety at the Vista Farmers Market,” Wall said.
The Vista Farmers Market, the longest running farmers market in San Diego County, has been offering locally grown farm and garden produce for 28 years and continues to search for (and offer) the full variety of farm-raised produce available. The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
