Rebuild RB to host benefit for fire victims

SAN DIEGO — A recent survey by United Policyholders reveals that many Witch Creek Fire survivors were significantly underinsured, and still have not reached a settlement with their insurance company. Rebuild RB will be hosting “A Matter Of Good Taste,” a charity event benefiting underinsured survivors, from 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Bernardo Winery in Rancho Bernardo, 13330 Paseo Del Verano Norte.
“In the spirit of neighbor helping neighbor, it is our hope to get the whole community to rally together to raise money to support these fire survivors,” Cindy Holmstrom, president of Rebuild RB, said. “Our goal is to give 90 percent of all funds collected directly to individual fire families.”
The event will feature live entertainment, a silent auction, fine wine and cuisine samples from talented chefs from all over San Diego County. A silent auction will also be held. Tickets for the 21 and older event are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. Attendance is limited.
