Museum welcomes mom of ‘Soul Surfer’

OCEANSIDE — The California Surf Museum will host Cheri Hamilton with daughter Bethany for the signing of her book “Raising a Soul Surfer,” from 2 to 4 p.m. July 7 in the museum lobby, 312 Pier View Way.In addition, exhibits currently on display for the summer at the California Surf Museum include:

— “A Brief History of Surfboards”

— “Courageous Inspiration”: Bethany Hamilton

— “My Oceanside”: Photographs by Aaron Checkwood

— “Need for Speed”: Downhill Skateboarding at Signal Hill
