Indoor putting fun raises money for library

CARLSBAD — The second annual Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation Mini Golf FORE the Library will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 at Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
“Parents with children and adults of all ages can putt their way through the stacks and down the stairs to help support this fundraiser for Carlsbad’s library and arts facilities and programs,” said Neil Black, president of the Foundation. “It’s an exciting annual
event for Carlsbad. And a fun way for the family to get together and support our city
libraries.”
Along with a custom-designed nine-hole mini golf course, the fundraiser will feature an activity area for kids including face painting, balloons and clowns in the front courtyard.
There will be live Zydeco music from Bill and the Swamp Critters, a silent auction and food and drinks available for purchase. The event will benefit the foundation’s mission to provide major financial support for Carlsbad’s library and arts facilities and programs.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Major sponsors can set up obstacles that showcase their business on or around the course.
