Girl Scout Gold Award for local scouts

NORTH COUNTY — High school-level San Diego Girl Scouts, in June, were presented with the most prestigious award in Girl Scouting — the Gold Award — for addressing important local, national and global issues through innovative service projects that create sustainable impact.

The Girl Scouts various projects address a variety of important issues, including access to mental health resources; climate change and protecting the environment; social justice; education; and support for military service members and their children.

The new Gold Award scouts from Carlsbad include:
