Free summer movie screenings

ENCINITAS — Enjoy free movie screenings this summer at the Cottonwood Creek Environmental Film series, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. June 3 and July 1, at the new Pacific Station Project, 687 S. Coast Highway.
Hosted by the Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Association, the film series features popular documentaries about our environment.
“Tapped,” which examines the bottled water industry and its effects on pollution, will play on June 3.
“The Cycle of Insanity: The Real Story of Water,” “Hold Onto Your Butt” and other short films will play on July 1, presented by the Surfrider Foundation San Diego chapter.
Each night will also feature updates from DEMA and the Encinitas environmental commission.
Individuals who arrive at the event without using a car, hybrid vehicles excluded, will be entered for a free raffle ticket.
