CARLSBAD — Carlsbad Police Department will be offering a series of training classes for parents of hard-to-handle children ages 5 to 10.
The successful Parent Project Junior/Loving Solutions training program is offering seven-week parenting program to parents of strong-willed children. Parent Project Junior/Loving Solutions offers parents a concrete framework for working with highly emotional and impulsive younger children and includes one session devoted to strategies to help parents of Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADD/ADHD children.
Classes will be held for seven consecutive Tuesday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. starting Jan. 25 through March 8 at the Carlsbad Senior Center, 799 Pine Ave.
The fee for the class materials is $25 per individual or $35 per couple. To register for the class, or for more information, contact Carlsbad Police Department’s Greater Understanding through Intervention Diversion, and Education, or GUIDE, office at (760) 931-2167.
