SOLANA BEACH — Ballard Designs, a national furniture retailer, has opened its first California location in the city’s Cedros Avenue Design District.
The store, which debuted last month, is part of the company’s expansion, which now includes 24 stores across 15 states.
The 7,400-square-foot store features Ballard’s furniture, lighting, rugs, bedding and home décor, including collections by designer Suzanne Kasler. Outdoor furniture is also available, reflecting California’s demand for outdoor living products.
“Since the very beginning of our national retail expansion, we’ve always been ‘California Dreamin’,” said Karen Mooney, president of Ballard Designs. “And this year, the dream is finally coming true. Solana Beach is a picture-perfect spot for our first California location. With its position on the gorgeous bluffs overlooking the Pacific, fabulous shopping, and family-friendly lifestyle, Solana Beach has a charming small-town feel and a big love for great design. Ballard Designs will be that place where friends meet, shop, and have fun decorating together.”
The store also includes a design center where customers can access fabric samples and schedule consultations with Ballard’s design team.
Located at 240 S. Cedros Avenue, the store is in the heart of Cedros Avenue Design District, a popular destination for shoppers in the San Diego region. The district is known for its galleries, boutiques and design firms.
Ballard Designs is part of Qurate Retail Group, which includes QVC, HSN and Frontgate.
