2014 World Bodysurfing Championships

OCEANSIDE — Consistent surf gave bodysurfers from around the world every opportunity to show judges and the watching public what they could do on a wave with just a set of fins and their bodies.

Several heats lasting 15 minutes each, with bodysurfers from the ages of 12 to 65 and over, took place during the two-day event on Aug. 16 and Aug. 17 at the Oceanside Pier. This year marked the 38^th annual championships with Calla Allison winning the women’s finals and Brett Templeman winning the men’s.
