COAST CITIES — Waste Management of North County and Coast Waste Management’s trash and recycling pick-up service will be provided on the regularly scheduled day for both the week of Christmas day and the week of New Year’s Day. There will be no service delays for Carlsbad, Del Mar, Oceanside, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe or other communities in unincorporated San Diego County.
The Waste Management office will be closed Dec. 24 and Jan. 3 in observance of the holidays. The Buyback Center will be closed Dec.25 and Jan.1. The Customer Service Center is available at (866) WM-RECYCLE, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will be closed at noon Dec. 24 and closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Christmas tree collection will start Dec.27 and run through Jan.14. Waste Management will offer single-family curbside collection and multi-family collection at designated locations at the customer location. Acceptable trees must be cut into 4-foot-or-smaller lengths, with no ornaments or stands attached. Flocked trees can be collected but will be disposed as trash.
