CARLSBAD — The Spring Event committee of the Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito will host its 17th annual Assistance League Rancho San Dieguito’s Spring Author Luncheon fundraiser at 10 a.m. April 26.
This year’s event will feature the book “The Necklace,” by Cheryl Jarvis, at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa, 5480 Grand Pacific Drive.
The book tells the true story of 13 women who took a risk on an expensive diamond necklace and, in the process, changed not only themselves but a community. Two of the owners of the necklace will be the featured speakers.
Dave Scott, master of ceremonies, is currently a broadcast meteorologist and feature reporter for KUSI-TV.
