Looking forward to November

Thank you to the voters in the Third Supervisorial District for making me the top vote-getter, winning the primary election on June 5, and I look forward to a spirited and civil debate with Dave Roberts in the November run-off.

Voters will have a clear choice. I want to reform County government, eliminate the Supervisors’ $5 million political slush fund to purchase political patronage, establish a regional Ethics Commission to hold officials accountable, reduce the red-tape that obstructs job-creation and economic recovery, and oppose any new taxes and fees. Preserving our quality of life — reducing traffic congestion, protecting our beaches and canyons, improving our public schools — all depend on creating a healthy, sustainable local economy. That will be my number one priority as your County Supervisor.

I’m proud to have the support of San Diego law enforcement, every mayor in our district including San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, Solana Beach Mayor Joe Kellejian, Escondido Mayor Sam Abed, Encinitas Mayor Jerome Stocks, and former candidates Del Mar Mayor Carl Hilliard and Stephen Pate, but the support I would value most is your vote.

If you’d like to discuss the campaign, please give me a call at (858) 395-2133.
